To “Pimp” or not to “pimp”?

Language has power. (That’s why we named the blog “The Word Warrior,” in case you hadn’t noticed .) In our culture, there are numerous words we use that are offensive to women–sometimes without even realizing it. Here is an interesting article from the Feminist E-zine that analyzes the word “pimp” and its usage in the American pop culture scene.This is also particularly relevant given the fact that Chelsea Clinton, who was just on campus, was accused of being “pimped out” by her mother.
