Struggle to gain university support for Gender Resource Center

Just a quick hit to divert people’s attention to the piece in the trib today covering what went down last Thursday when MUSG presented a recommendation calling for the creation of a Gender Resource Center. Long story short, the resolution did not pass. Perhaps it can be agreed that more background information needs to be provided, which is not a hard thing to do. (There is plenty). So hopefully this Thursday’s MUSG meeting will feature more promising reactions to student’s pleas for at least a directed consensus around the importance of having a Gender Resource Center on campus.

    Ugh. There can’t be this kind of hesitation when it comes to victims’ services. Seriously, people. I sat there for three hours last week and plan to again this Thursday. Come with me. Bring homework. Make them acknowledge us.
