Brüno

So: Is it a pink-face minstrel show? Meta-satire on homophobia and opportunity for LGBTple to be in on a mainstream joke? Shock humor with a dim spark of cultural consciousness that is far less relevant than most people think? A failed but good-faith attempt at number two that ends up being number one? All three at once?

Moreover: Anyone intend to see it? (I saw Borat, and was gravely disappointed, so I’m strongly disinclined to pay up for this. Maybe on DVD. Moreover, all my gay friends I could bounce analysis out of are out of town for the summer.)
