The company she keeps, ctd.

First, Palin quoted a white supremacist in a convention speech. Then, our intrepid outsider turned to the Nixonian anti-Semite Fred Malek to introduce her to the Washington elite. Now, Sarah Palin will be giving a speech (closed to the press) at the Tea Party Convention in this February in Nashville, TN.

That she is willing to align herself with the comparative extremism of the Tea Party movement is disturbing. The endorsement of a former vice-presidential candiate will lend the movement much-needed legitimacy.  The line between the far right and mainstream GOP blurs ever murky.

Incidentally, the Tea Party Convention, celebration of blue-collar Real America that it is, will be charging upwards of $500 per-ticket.
