Monday Morning Surrealism

I’m not sure if Thomas Woodruff aligns himself with Surrealism proper, but his artwork is undeniably surreal with a small “s,” and undeniably owes a debt to Surrealism with a capital “S,” if only unconsciously. (Dali has polluted the Zeitgeist.)

No matter how big an “s” we use to describe it, Woodruff’s series Freak Parade will be on display at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University starting Thursday the 28th through April 18. Check it. Bring a friend, to hold hands with; it’s really freaky.
